Master’s or Postgraduate Final Project

The Master’s Final Project (TFM) or Postgraduate Final Project (TFP) is the project that marks the completion of your program at SHIFTA by Elisava. This is a fundamental stage where you apply everything you have learned during the course, developing a proposal with a professional approach, which may be your own or based on an assigned project.

The TFM begins approximately in week 18 of the master’s, while the TFP usually starts in week 9 of the postgraduate program. If these dates coincide with holidays, the start will be adjusted accordingly. All important dates (start, partial submissions, final submission, and defense) are detailed in the academic calendar available in the Student Room of your program.

How is the Master’s or Postgraduate Final Project structured?

The Master’s or Postgraduate Final Project is divided into three main phases:

  1. Pre-Project: You start the project with the guidance of a tutor.
  2. Project Development: In postgraduate programs, at least one partial submission is required; in master’s programs, at least two. These submissions are used to show progress and receive feedback.
  3. Final Submission and Defense: The final submission takes place in the last week of the program. About a week later, you will defend your project before an academic panel.
