Final Project Defense
Approximately one week after the final project submission via the Virtual Campus, the Master’s (TFM) or Postgraduate (TFP) Final Project Defenses are held. The defense is a formal presentation in which you present your project before an academic panel, who will evaluate both the content and your ability to argue and answer questions about your work.
When are the defenses held?
The exact dates of the defenses are determined by the tutors or program directors, in coordination with the Academic Coordinator. In general, you will receive a list of available time slots so you can choose the one that best fits your needs. In some cases, the tutor or director may assign the time slot directly and will inform you personally.
What is the structure of the defense?
Each defense has a total duration of 30 minutes per student or group, divided into two parts:
- 15 minutes for the project presentation.
- 15 minutes for questions, comments, and feedback from the panel.
It is essential to respect the established times to ensure a smooth process, especially when several defenses are scheduled on the same day.
Who is part of the defense panel?
The academic panel is usually composed of three members:
- Your tutor.
- Two professors from the program selected by the program management.
