Yes, it is possible to submit the required documentation to prove your Master's or Postgraduate degree in digital format, provided that a number of mandatory requirements are met. These requirements ensure the legal and academic validity of the documents and allow proper verification by Elisava's Academic Management Unit.
Elisava's Academic Management Unit is legally required to store students' academic records as part of their official file. This file can be stored either digitally or in paper form. However, it is not possible to mix both formats within the same student file. In other words:
- You cannot submit some documents digitally and others on paper.
- The chosen delivery method (digital or physical) must be consistent and uniform across all documentation.
⚠️ If you wish to submit everything entirely in digital format, all documents must meet the requirements detailed below.
Requirements for Digital Submission
For digital documents to be accepted, every single document (with no exceptions, including legalizations for international students) must simultaneously meet all the following conditions:
- Each document must contain a valid digital verification code (CSV, secure verification code, authentication QR code, etc.). This code guarantees that the document is official, has not been altered, and legally replaces a handwritten signature and/or physical stamp.
- The verification code must provide direct access to the complete original document on the issuer's official platform (university, ministry, public administration, etc.). When entering the code or scanning the QR, the exact same full, legible document must appear on the screen. If the code is missing, has expired, or redirects to a generic page, the document cannot be validated.
⚠️ A scanned document — even if it comes from an official original — is not valid if it does not include a digital verification system.
What does NOT count as valid digital documentation?
- Scanned copies of paper documents (even if they are notarized/certified copies)
- Photographs taken of degrees or certificates
- PDFs that do not contain any digital verification code
- Documents whose QR code or verification code does not lead to the original complete content
Which situation applies to you?
- If every document includes a valid digital authentication code:
You can submit your entire file electronically without the need for notarization/certification. Validation will be performed online using the verification codes. - If some documents have a code and others do not:
Full digital submission will not be possible. In this case, you must choose complete physical delivery of all documentation. Documents without a digital code will require notarized/certified copies, while those with a valid code can be submitted as simple printouts.
⚠️ Mixing formats within the same file is not allowed. If even one document does not meet the digital validity requirements, the entire file must be submitted in physical format.
